Chairperson update January 2020

Last year seen quite a few upgrades to the grounds, with funding from the Lara District Community Bank for the Water Jump and Solar projects.

Funding from Sport Australia, Corio and Moorabool Pony Club, Westcoast Adult Riding Club and the Twilight Jumping Series, we now have 52 new double rail steel yards, along Bacchus Marsh Road, side of the grounds.

The Cross country course has some new hills with 250 trees funded by CMPC, WARC and the City of Greater Geelong providing the trees, mulch and help with planting.

Chairperson update

The dressage arenas are being upgraded... a big thank you to the following companies for their donations;

  • Chelvon Quarries, Maude for donating the 90 tonnes of dressage sand for arena one and two
  • Bendigo Community Bank, Lara for donating the rock base and equipment hire for arena one
  • Dulhuntly Poles, Moolap for donating the surrounding concrete / fibreglass poles
  • FOEP has being doing the design and supervising of construction.

The cross country South East mounds, are nearing completion;

  • They have been upgraded with 5,000 plus tonnes of good soil to allow safe riding over it.
  • New permanent jumps will also be installed on it. 
  • The City of Greater Geelong and Norris Construction have donated all of the expertise and materials to build the mounds to FOEP’s design for this long overdue project.

FOEP would like to thank all those that support our work on the grounds and the work done by our volunteers that come from CMPC, WARC and all the different clubs that use the facility.

Chairperson update

Hopefully you would have noticed that dressage arena one and two have been upgraded with poles donated by DULHUNTLY Poles, Moolap. Dressage arena two has been upgraded with a rock base and 90 tonnes of dressage sand donated by Chelvon Quarries, Maude. 

The cross country south east mound, is being upgraded with 5000 plus tonnes of good soil to cover the rocks and rubbish on it, to allow safe riding over it. New permanent jumps will also be installed on it.
